Motorola Xoom got Android update

In spite of such heavy competition in the mobile world, the yester year leader Motorola mobiles is still going strong and giving stiff competition to its competitors like Samsung and Nokia. Recently Motorola launched its ultra modern device Motorola Xoom in the mobile world. Motorola Xoom is a tablet device which does not support GSM voice communication, SMS and MMS. This device is an Android device and earlier this device used to run on Android 3.2 Gingerbread operating system and now recently this device got an operating system upgrade. Motorola has rolled Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system for this device.




This news has brought a huge sigh of relief to many Motorola Xoom owners, as this new device now will be able to send and receive emails and messages. The upgrade will also fix the issues. As this tablet device had with 4G LTE upgrade issues resolved, the new upgrade will also resolve some other issues and also will enhance the performance of the device.When Motorola Xoom was released in the market, this device had better features than Apple iPad. But later on this device faced some problems with 4G LTE feature. Now with the new update all the issues have been fixed and this device now has the potential to challenge even the best in the business. This device is available in three different memory variants, and the basic variant begins with 16 GB followed by 32 GB and the top variant comes with 64 GB memory storage space. Additional memory can be added to Motorola Xoom upto 32 GB through microSD memory card. Motorola Xoom is fitted with 5.0 megapixel camera on the back panel which is equipped with all the latest features like auto focus, geo tagging and LED flash light. This camera can record video at 720 pixels clarity. Motorola Xoom also has a secondary camera fitted on the front panel. Motorola Xoom presently runs on Android 3.2 gingerbread operating system, and with the rollout of Android 4.0 ICS update this device will be working on Android 4.0 ICS OS. Motorola Xoom is fitted with 1 GHz dual core processor and is mounted Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 chipset.
