Motorola Defy Mini, A Popular Phone from Motorola

The trend of smartphones is on high and renowned brands like Nokia and Samsung are frequently releasing their smartphones. These companies are the leading brands for smartphones in India. Other companies are also fighting hard to set their position in the smartphone segment. Similarly the American Multinational company Motorola is also trying hard to set its position with its Motorola mobiles in India. Motorola launched Motorola Defy Mini in January 2012. Motorola Defy Mini price is tagged around Rs 18,000. Motorola Defy Mini pictures reveal that, if Defy Mini and Defy plus are placed together then both the phones will look identical. But Motorola Defy Mini has a grille at the bottom which is not present in the Motorola Defy plus. The ports and sockets of the phone are protected by rubber ‘grommets’ to keep them free from dust. Motorola Defy Mini is not an attractive but is quite thick and chunky like the modern handsets. The power button is located at the top of the phone and on the right hand side is volume control and a dedicated camera button.

Motorola Defy Mini runs on Android 2.3 version Gingerbread and is powered by 600MHz single core processor with 512MB RAM. The Motorola Defy Mini features four capacitive buttons for home, menu, back and search. Motorola Defy Mini comes with a 3.2 TFT touchscreen display with multi-touch and the phone is equipped with corning gorilla glass which keeps the touchscreen durable. This phone comes with a display resolution of 480X320 pixels along with a pixel density of 180ppi and 256K colors. Motorola Defy Mini is capable from battery point of view as it offers up to 10 hours of talk time and 21 days standby.

One can store ample number of applications, songs and videos as the phone is equipped with micro SD card which is expandable upto 32GB. The phone also has 3.15MP rear camera and front camera for video calling. The connectivity features of Motorola Defy Mini are quite good with Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct and Wi-Fi hotspot. It also has microUSB, Bluetooth, an FM radio and GPS. From an audio perspective, the voice calls are clear and crisp. It is easy to make calls from this phone and this is a plus point for those who make lots of phone calls. The price of Motorola seems to be the biggest obstruction in the sales of this phone. The price is quite high and this phone is also not that fast and pretty. In the list of upcoming mobiles, Motorola is all set to launch Motorola XPRT in May 2012. The company is expecting a good business from Motorola XPRT. I recently shared that Sony has To Face Fierce Competition without Ericsson and Motorola Xoom 2 and Galaxy Note have 10 Inch Display.
